I'm a new student. How and when can I access my school email?

Once you register, your advisor will change your status and an online account will be generated for you. Once initiated, this process will also generate your email account. To log in to your email:

  • Wait at least 24 hours after changing your status from applicant to student (as when you register for classes for the first time).
  • Log in to your mySCC account with the username and temporary password you were given.
  • Be sure to change your password in mySCC from the temporary password you were given. This will change your mySCC AND email password.
  • Click on the email logo and log in to your email with that same username and your new password

When you are accepted as a student, you should receive a welcome letter from the college. This letter explains the format of your email address and includes your temporary password to log in for the first time.
