What is Moodle and how do I access it?

Moodle is an online open-source learning management system (LMS). A learning management system is a service used for our fully-online classes, our online/face-to-face hybrid classes, and as a supplement to some of our traditional, in-person classes.

Accessing Moodle

Shawnee Community College's Moodle server can be accessed by logging in to mySCC. The link to SCC's Moodle is on mySCC's landing page.

Click on the Moodle Log in link to go to Moodle.

If you are already on the mySCC homepage, look for the Moodle button inside the "Student Apps" card.

When you go to Moodle from mySCC , you won't need to log in to Moodle itself. The link will take you to the "My courses" page in your Moodle account.

Moodle.org

Moodle.org is not SCC's Moodle site! Moodle.org is the community of Moodle users around the world. You can find answers to most questions about Moodle in the Moodle.org forums, as well as help documents about using all the different parts of the Moodle LMS. If you are looking for your current courses in Moodle, make sure you've logged in through mySCC.

Help with Moodle

For additional help with using SCC's Moodle, troubleshooting, or just general support, contact support by emailing [email protected], by calling (618) 634-3333, or through the technical support page on the SCC website

Need help learning Moodle in a more structured way? Try the Moodle 101 Tutorial course in Moodle. Look for a link to Moodle 101 in the "Help and Training" block on the right side of the page when you access Moodle.
